I found the description of this hotel so interesting that I decided to go out of my way to stay here instead of continuing on to Carcassone. I had a huge room in Renaissance style with so many features and special ornamentation from that era. It was like spending the night in a museum of decorative arts. The hotel staff speak perfect English and we're kind enough to bring my bags to the room. The location is easy to find with GPS. It's not a very large city and there's plenty of free parking within convenient walking distance although the hotel does offer valet parking for a fee. This overnight was one of the highlights of my trip.

L’Ancienne Auberge dates from the 17th century and is located 2 km from the National Forest of Grésigne, you will be welcomed there by a couple of hoteliers Greg and Sophie. The L'Ancienne Auberge was a lovely place in the centre of the beautiful little town of Puicelsi. Sophie and Greg were perfect hosts with delightful personalities. They made us feel welcome and were very accommodating when we arrived with our electric bikes. Our room was spacious, clean and had a breathtaking view of the surrounding valley. Greg was a fantastic chef and we very much enjoyed our meals there as well as the whole experience staying at the L'Ancienne Auberge!

SO happy to discover this gem of a new hotel near me in the Tarn. A gorgeous country chateau in the rolling French countryside near to Toulouse that has been converted into a sensational boutique hotel. There are lots of boutique hotels popping up in the area but none with a Spa like this! We had the most sensational suite with a huge terrace overlooking the gardens and the countyside, with the snowcapped Pyrenees in the distance. The staff were super friendly, the restaurant was delicious and very well priced for a hotel, and the Spa was exceptional. There is no Spa like this anywhere in the area. A real amount of love and attention has been made by the owners Gordon and Danielle Oldham (of Pavilion Hotels - he is English, she is French from the local area) to make this a perfect French retreat. I have already booked a Spa day in two weeks time!

Located in Castres, 2 km from Castres Exhibition Centre, B&B Hôtel Castres Centre features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. The rooms come with a flat-screen TV with cable channels. We love this place! They have accommodated to our special needs and have shown us every courtesy. The rooms are comfortable and the location perfect. The staff is superb. Hostellerie du Vigan is situated in the centre of Albi and offers air-conditioned guest rooms with a flat-screen TV. All rooms include free Wi-Fi internet access and en suite bathroom facilities. The kindness of the personel, which addressed quite minor but well appreciated requests. The location was very convenient, not far from what we wanted to visit (the cathedral, the Toulouse-Lautrec museum). The room was very quite with a luminous bathroom.
